Census lists his occupation as coal miner. **** Obituary: Paralysis Fatal to Crooksville Man Thurs. Night Crooksville, O., Nov 21-Charles Cox died at the family home near Crooksville, Thursday night, following a few weeks’ illness due to a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Cox was a well know resident of this city, removing to a farm abut one year ago. He was a native of England, and at the time of his death, was 55 years of age. He came to this county 19 years ago from his native land and resided for a time at Shawnee and New Straitsville, coming to the city several years ago. Besides the widow, three sons and two daughters survive; John of White Cottage, Matthew and Charles Jr. of the home; Mrs Jesse Gross and Mrs. Charles Brunton. He is also survived by one brother, John of Byesville, and two sisters, Miss Sarah and and Miss Elizabeth Cox of England, and by one nephew, Joseph Cox of England and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the United Brethren church of which he was a member, at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. H.O. Thompson officiating. Burial will be made in the Crooksville cemetery.
