He was born in Murray (sic) County, Tennessee, December 4, 1854, was reared near Lewlsburg, Tennessee and received his degree in medicine at Vanderbilt University in 1885. He was a member of his county and state medical societies for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, seven children, two brothers and three sisters.
