- From David Donahue, An obituary in the "Parsons News Leader" notes that Grady Franklin Jackson was a World War II army veteran. He was a member of the VFW, Masons, American Legion, and Ruritan Club. He also was a member of Crowell Chapel church. He died of a heart attack. A military marker used as a footstone on his grave notes "US Army Air Corps World War II."
