Notes |
- The father/son connection between John Jackson and Stephen Jackson is conjectured based upon 1850 Census showing John in residence 722 and Stephen in 723. John and his sons Stephen and Alfred are together in 1860 also.

The 1870 census record for these folks have not yet been found. Bob Mitchell's research indicates that John was possibly a son of Stephen Jackson Jr. and Temperance Rushing. DNA results from testing a descendant has proved that this line is descended from a grandson of James Jackson and Rebecca Hallett. The addition of John to Stephen and Temperance's list of children makes John a perfect fit.
I was finally convinced that John was a son of Stephen Jr. (1760-1830) because of the SNP, the location and the fact that John's birth year fit right between a couple of other children of Stephen. I suppose that whole Anson County bunch is somewhat iffy and John has as much 'confirmation' there as most of the others.
So here is what I have now for Stephen RIN 14331 (1760-1830)
Martha Jackson b abt 1789 (married William R. Connell)
Stephen Jackson III b abt 1800 (married Emma Wells and Miss Unk)
John Jackson b abt 1805 (married Effie MNU)
Ann Jackson b 26 Oct 1807 (married Thomas Poe Terrell)
