    • Articles and comments below ontributed by Dr. Anthony Troha:
      The Owosso Argus-Press, April 19, 1928 (Page 6, Column 4):
      "SOCIETY
      ...
      Marriage Announced
Friends and relatives of Mrs. Blanche Stone and Halsey Hannahs, both of this city, learned today of their marriage, which took place Tuesday [i.e. Tuesday, April 17, 1928]. It is not known where the ceremony took place but it is believed that they were married in Toledo. Mr. and Mrs. Hannahs were to return to Owosso today and will make their home at Ada and Lee streets.

Both the bride and groom are well known in this city, Mrs. Hannahs having lived here since girlhood. Mr. Hannahs has made his home here for the past three years with Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Vandewater."

So she was Mrs. Blanche Stone when she married Halsey Hannahs.

      "LOCALS
      ...
Mr. and Mrs. Halsey Hannahs and the Misses Janet and Catherine Stone leave Thursday for an extended stay in New York City and the east."

Evidentially, Halsey and Blanche moved from Owosso to Detroit in 1929, as shown in the following articles:

      The Owosso Argus-Press, March 5, 1929 (Page 5, Column 2):
      "LOCALS

Mr. and Mrs. Halsey Hannahs and daughter, Miss Catherine Stone, left yesterday afternoon for Detroit."
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      The Owosso Argus-Press, December 7, 1929 (Page 5, Column 2):
      "LOCALS
      ...
Mr. and Mrs. Halsey Hannahs and two daughters, the Misses Janet and Katherine Stone, of Detroit, were in the city Friday. Miss Janet remains for a longer stay."

      The Owosso Argus-Press, June 5, 1930 (Page 5, Column 2):
      "LOCALS

      The Owosso Argus-Press, April 18, 1947 (Page 3, Column 3):
[refers to an event that occurred in 1927]
      "FLIGHT OF TIME
      ...
      ...
Leander R. Doolittle, 81, died in his home on Lee street this morning after a ten days illness. Mrs. Doolittle passed away in January. Two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Stone and Mrs. Ernest Geffs, survive."

Thus, Blanche's maiden name was Doolittle, which explains the "Blanche D." that was previously found in the 1930 Census record from Ancestry.com.
