Jackson, retired carpenter and contractor and one of the most widely known residents of the city died at the home of his brother, David Jackson, 308 W. Market St, at two this morning. Mr. Jackson has been unable to work for a number of years and during that time he has made his home with his brother. The deceased was born in this state May 15, 1843, and was past 70 at death. He was never married.
Besides the brother at whose home he died, Mr. Jackson is survived by one other brother, Henry H. Jackson of Danville, Ill.
