  • Notes
    • Copied below is a portion of the bio/obit posted on his Find-a-Grave Memorial:
Billy Frank Jackson passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his home in Three Rivers, Texas, two weeks shy of his 82nd birthday. He was born on February 24,1927 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to James Frank and Mabel Anderson Jackson. He grew up and attended school in Mirando City, Texas and joined the Merchant Marines after graduating.

In 1950, he married the love of his life, best friend and soul mate, Peggy Joyce Rutherford and together they raised three children: Adonis Matthews of Kenedy, Texas, Brenda (Jim) Yanker of Tyler, Texas and James Frank (Robin) Jackson of Mathis, Texas.

He served his country again in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War and was fortunate to take an early retirement after 35 years with Texaco as a Production Supervisor. After retiring, Billy and Peggy spent the next 25 years doing the things they loved the most: traveling, fishing, hunting, spending tune with their children and grandchildren, and especially each other.

He was a Baptist and a Master Mason of the Evergreen Lodge #325 of the Masonic Lodge.
