      RONALD KNOTTS, SR.

      Ronald E. Knotts, Sr., 81, of Gallipolis, Ohio, died Friday, Mar. 9, 2007, at his residence.

      He was born at Minnora, the son of the late Greeta Madge Baker and Perry Edward Knotts. He was a retired auctioneer and furniture store operator. He was an instructor for auctioneering and was a member of K of P Lodge, Gallipolis, and the National Auctioneer Association.

      Surviving are his wife, Daisy E. Slayton Knotts of Gallipolis; two daughters, Kris Moore of Columbus, Ohio, and Donna Jean Harless of Gallipolis; three sons, Ronald E. Knotts, Jr., and David Lee Knotts, both of Gallipolis, and Stephen Allen Knotts of Fremont, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Harry Baker Knotts of Auburndale, Fla., and Carroll V. Knotts of Belpre, Ohio; and two sisters, Fern Deel of Parkersburg and Glenna Dale Carpenter of Orma.

      He was preceded in death by one grandson, Brian Knotts, and one great-granddaughter, Tory Tilley.

      Graveside services were held at Centenary Cemetery with Jane Ann Miller officiating.
