Marriage Bond of John Flesher and Sarah Jackson
KNOW all men by these presents, that we John Flesher and Edward Jackson
are held and firmly bound unto John Page Governor of Virginia, in the just and full sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, to which payment well and truly to be made, to the said Governor or his successors, we bind our selves, and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 5th day of June 1804.
The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between said John Flesher and Sarah Jackson daughter of said Edward
now if there be no lawful cause to object the said Marriage, then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
