      "On April 8, 1853 in DeKalb County Georgia, William Jackson, 63, a resident of DeKalb County Georgia gave testimony that he is the son of Edward Jackson late of Gwinnett County and a pensioner of the United States for his service in the revolution at the rate of $30 per annum; that he, affiant, was not present when his father died in the month of February 1845 but he has seen his father's grave as pointed out by the affiant's brother (not named); that he, the affiant resided with his father in Jackson County Georgia in 1803 when his father married Mary Hall; that they were married by one Thomas Hogg, JP; that Mary Jackson was the affiant's stepmother; that she is still alive and is unmarried. He signed his affidavit with his mark."
